Unite for Breakthroughs! The Company Successfully Holds Specialized Exchange Conference on Chimney and Cooling Tower Construction

    On October 11th, the company organized and held a Specialized Exchange Conference on Chimney and Cooling Tower Construction at the chimney and cooling tower project for the main building construction of the 2×350MW unit of Guoneng Hebei Lixian Thermal Power Cogeneration Project. Members of the company's Engineering Management Department and technical backbone representatives from 13 projects attended the conference. Focusing on the key points and difficulties in the construction organization of chimney and cooling tower projects in thermal power plants, the conference carried out on-site observation, experience sharing and special discussions, further improving the level of construction technology management and helping the project improve quality and efficiency.

    On the day of the conference, the participants first listened to the introduction by Zhao Fengtao, the project engineer, on the overall construction organization and current project status of Hebei Lixian Power Plant in the project meeting room. Later, under the chairmanship and guidance of Liu Lintong, the project manager, they conducted an on-site visit to the construction model demonstration area, cooling tower construction area, chimney construction area and water drenching component processing workshop. At the construction site, Liu Lintong explained in detail the layout principles and influencing factors of the cooling tower machinery and safety passages, and emphasized that the pre-construction planning and detailed control of the construction process are crucial. Only with in-place planning, organization and implementation can the on-site civilized construction, safe production and project quality meet the expected results.

    The discussion session focused on the core pain points of the project, and three special sharing sessions directly addressed the key difficulties in chimney and cooling tower construction. Wu Yang, the project engineer of Qingyang Power Plant, took the construction technology of steel pipe X-columns of the indirect air-cooling tower of Ruoqiang Power Plant as the starting point, and broke down the technical difficulties and control key points one by one for its core processes such as transportation, assembly, hoisting and pouring. Chen Yan focused on the chimney and cooling tower construction of Changzhou Power Plant, analyzing both the key and difficult points of the overall project and the key process bottlenecks in the construction of the glass fiber reinforced plastic inner cylinder of the chimney. Zhang Heng focused on the high-level water collection tower of Shimen Power Plant, and mainly shared the prominent difficulties in construction and the corresponding refined control strategies. The participants conducted heated discussions and in-depth Q&A on various technical problems on site. Through accurate problem decomposition and experience sharing, the discussion goal of overcoming difficulties and promoting common improvement was efficiently achieved.

    Finally, Li Na, Director of the Engineering Management Department, shared the quality defects and prevention measures of chimneys and cooling towers with the participants, requiring all projects to learn lessons from them, strictly control every construction process, and ensure that all the company's under-construction projects maintain a leading level in the industry in terms of project quality and project management, so as to build the company's brand products in chimney and cooling tower projects. In her concluding speech, she pointed out that this observation meeting effectively promoted the sharing of management experience and the transformation of technical achievements through the form of "on-site observation, on-site learning and joint discussion". She required all project departments to take this activity as an opportunity to transform the learning results into executive power, and continuously improve the standardization and refinement level of project management. The Engineering Management Department will establish a regular observation and exchange mechanism in the future, and organize regular mutual visits and learning among key projects to lay a solid management foundation for promoting the high-quality development of the company.
