At 15:18 on April 22,2026, as the on-site countdown reached zero, Unit 1 of the Shanxi Coal Shimen 2×660 MW Upgrade and Capacity Expansion Project (Phase III of Shimen Power Plant) successfully completed its 168-hour trial operation. This milestone marks the successful fulfillment of the final critical task in the construction phase, officially ushering the project into a new chapter of production and operation.

This project is a key initiative under Hunan Province's 14th Five-Year Energy Plan and a pivotal measure for developing the northwest region and advancing integrated coal-power development. Designated as the "No.1 Project" by Shimen County, it involves the construction of two 660 MW high-efficiency ultra-supercritical double-reheat coal-fired power generating units along with supporting facilities such as a dedicated railway line. The project incorporates advanced desulfurization and denitrification systems, with energy consumption, environmental performance, and power generation efficiency all targeted at world-class standards

On April 26,2024, the project broke ground. As our company's first 165-meter high-water-collecting cooling tower, the construction team consistently adhered to the philosophy of "advanced planning, process control, and achieving excellence from the outset."
