Zhalut ± 800kV converter station project, located in Zhalut Banner, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is a standardized demonstration and model of ± 800kV UHV DC project in China, reaching the highest level of UHV DC design and manufacturing. The project was commenced in August 2016 and completed in November 2017. The project won the gold medal of national high-quality project in 2018-2019.
