Taizhou ±800kV converter station project, located in Xinghua City, Jiangsu Province, is the terminus of ±800kV Ximeng-Taizhou UHVDC transmission project. Taizhou converter Station project is the country's first 10 kilowatt level of hierarchical access to 1000 kV and 500 kV AC power grid AC-DC joint construction station, covering an area of 228,500 square meters. Construction began in March 2016 and the project was put into operation in August 2017. The project won the 2018-2019 Luban Award of China Construction Engineering (National Quality Project).
