Wuda North 500kV substation project is located in Wuda District, 26km southwest of Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Construction began in December 2017 and the project will be put into operation in May 2020. It increases the power transformation capacity of Wuhai regional power grid, especially the power supply area of Wuda North, and improves the power supply capacity and reliability of the region. The project won the 2021 China Power Quality Project Award.
